Is it a template class? which class in doxygen should I check to understand it?

vol vector Field : its a field which is vector ( forexample velocity) and values are located at cell center
what else do you need to know?

GeometricField is the template

Thanks Nima but what I meant was from the programming point of view, it's a typedef positioned under the class members and as Bernhard mentioned it is derived from GeometricField
