OpenFOAMv8 simulation error

hello everyone,
i am using openFOAM for the first time for an ongoing research. after compiling the solver in my case and opening paraview to visualize the simulation i run on this error when i press the play button in paraview : error: in /home/ubuntu/openfoam/thirdparty-dev/paraview-5.6.0/vtk/io/geometry/vtkopenfoamreader.cxx, line 8295 vtkopenfoamreaderprivate (0x563bdbf13ce0): error reading line 20 of /home/''username''/''casename''/1.1/lagrangian/kinematiccloud/positions: expected punctuation token ')', found 0 any idea how to fix this ? |

Hi,
this is probably due to the problem of OpenFoam switching to barycentric coordinates. I don't know if they fixed this in the newer versions but what I usually do is convert the case to VTK using foamToVTK. You will then be able to read the lagrangian data. |
