Introduction to OpenFoam

I am a student of Mechanical Engineering and I am trying to learn OpenFoam. I have taken a basic course in Fluid Mechanics but I have never taken any CFD courses. My goal is to be able to simulate a model of a semi truck with and without an airfoil.

What would the best approach be to learning how to use OpenFoam well enough to model a semi?

I am comfortable making CAD drawings in Solid Edge and I have OpenFoam with ParaView installed on my computer.

It might be a good idea to go through the motorbike tutorial (http://www.vespalabs.org/Projects/Ve...rbike_Tutorial), and once you've managed that to do the same with your geometry.

Do this! That is how I started to learn how to run CFD in OpenFOAM for my project

Thank you for your replies. I think this is a great place to start. If I can work through this I will be able to do anything I would want to do in OpenFOAM, atleast that's what it looks like to me.
