I'm a new user of SnappyHexMesh of OpenFoam for mesh.
I'm trying to test the capability of this tool and compare it with other software for meshing, so I tried to use very simple geometries like cube, cilinder...
I used first the blockMesh tool, then the snappyhexMesh tool and after that I have tested the grid with checkMesh and no problem was shown, but opening the grid with ParaFOAM I see same strange thing in the grid, if I do same sections view.
You can look it in the picture attached.
I have tried to change settings in my snappyHexMeshdict file but the problem doesn't stop.
Is it a visualization issues or a grid probrem?
I attacched also my blockMesh and snappyHexMeshDict file.
it is a visualization error typical of paraview.
your cells are not thetraedal but made of "bricks"

And another question, when i try to convert the mesh from OF to fluent I obtain the messege below:

but the mesh is genereted anyway, the suppression of the polyhedral cells can modify my results ?
How can I avoid having polyhedral cells in the mesh?
there was a thread about that, once upon a time, somewhere in the forum. but i'm afraid I don't remember where... i'm just used to it and don't notice anymore.
