Great thanks!!!

Quick question: Have you tried the contact form at CFD Direct? http://cfd.direct/contact/
It's where Henry Weller works at: http://cfd.direct/about/

I have seen this report being requested a number of times. While it appears unavailable, the process of conditional averaging is well described in works of other authors. Particularly lucid treatments can be found in [1, ch. 2] and [2, ch.1.6 + appendix A]. There is also a report by Weller [3] in which he treats this subject. The idea of conditional averaging is based on the work of Dopazo [4] for turbulent flows.

You may also look at this short note on the derivation of continuity equation for VOF with mass transfer

or look at this Master thesis, Chap3

These derivations are based on the method of volume averaging (integration on volume, including the boundary effects as body forces).

Cheers
