Help me to choose the best solver .

Hi,
I want to model(hydraulically and thermally) a wavy channel. The conditions are: steady state, incompressible and 2D.
The wavy channel is under Magneto Hydro Dynamic (MHD) field.
Which solver is the best to begin modeling this problem?
Thanks.

Dear Reza,

i think you can't use single solver you can use mhdFoam located in electromagnetics directory, and modify it by add heat transfer equation to the solver, so can use this modification for icoFoam as guide.

good luck :)

Thank you Ahmed for your answer.

Do I need to modify the icoFoam solver? or just I have to modify the mhdFoam and add the energy equation to this solver?

best regards.

only modify mhdFoam

Dear reza,

you need to modify only mhdFoam. modified icoFoam is only four guidance, you can follow same steps.

good luck. :)
