Hi,

I was comparing buoyantPimpleFoam (and buoyantBoussinesqPimpleFoam) to the Oliveira and Issa paper (Numerical Heat Transfer, Part B, 40: 473-493, 2001). If I understand correctly, buoyantPimpleFoam follows the "Variant 2" explained on that paper because of the order the equations are solved. It does UEq.H, then TEq.H and then pEq.H...Is that correct?

Then, according to the paper:
Quote:
Variant 2 did not perform well, a plausible cause being the fact that the
temperature prediction is based on a velocity field which does not satisfy
continuity
Am I missing something or why does buoyantPimpleFoam solve TEq.H before pEq.H ?

Thanks,
Mary
