Hi,
I'm using snappyHexMesh on .stl files with multiples inlets/outlets and the feature edges snaping gives usually good results to resolve they shape. However I sometimes end with meshes likes that:

My snappyHexMeshDict is :

I tried playing with the different snapping option especially the tolerance, without great success.

Any idea on how to improve that ?
Best regards,

Florian

Hi Florian,

1. I would check your castellated mesh
2. Try to use implicitFeatureSnap
3. Try to refine this area more
4. Try to set your "nCellsBetweenLevels" higher
5. Refine your Inlet Face

Hi !
Thank you for the reply.
Took me some time but I finally managed to get a good looking mesh : I used the implicitFeatureSnap instead of explicit, increased the number of cells and reduced the snapping iterations.
Regards.
