porous media at open foam

Hi all Dears,

I want to consider darcy-forchheimer regime to analyze porous media, so I think I should consider both D and F(viscous and inertial resistance) in porousZone dictionary.
I know that D is inverse of permeability.
but i don't know what should i do for F?

there is another question:

after calculating D and F,should the porousZone dictionary for an isotropic porous media like below?
Darcy
{
d d[0 -2 0 0 0 0 0] (D D D)
f f[0 -1 0 0 0 0 0] (F F F)
}
thanks a lot
sincerely yours,
arjang

I think Post #2 from this thread answers your question, basically:

Quote:

d= beta/viscocity [1/m^2]
f=2*alpha/density [1/m]
As for your second question, you are correct, this is the set up for isotropic medium.

(d d d)
(f f f)
