Hello dear readers:

I have just got into this great forum for CFD - and was trying out a fresh reinstall of OF 2.2.x I don't know why I keep getting this message when I I have already deleted and uninstall OF when I reininstalled fresh again?

Error: Current directory is not $WM_PROJECT_DIR
The environment variables are inconsistent with the installation.
Check the OpenFOAM entries in your dot-files and source them.
berns@linux-ephk:~/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.2.x>

How do I get rid of older environment set-up that they don't stick like stuck for a fresh install?

Thank you for any tip or help.

Regards,

Artur will become famous soon enough
I'm not a linux expert by any means but when I was installing a new version on my machine it sufficed when I edited my bashrc file:

Code:
gedit ~/.bashrc
and removed the line I had added at the end following the first installation:

Code:
source /opt/openfoam220/etc/bashrc
and then replaced it with the one corresponding to the version I've just installed (I use Ubuntu 12.04 at work and 12.10 at home, did it on both).

Artur is right. The problem is in your bashrc file. You need to delete (comment out) everything regarding your previous OpenFoam installations.

Best,

Hello Arthur, Killroy:

Thanks for these replies. I actually did that quite several times and somehow it does not cut it?I still see these missing files or directory messages when I source bashrc ? I have resolved it by using "Bleachit" files and disk utility for Linux and wipe traces in memory in temporary folders and wiped the disk clean for the spaces recovered also -Im on OpenSUSE 12.3 by the way.I have successfully ./Allwmake my files again and build them in about an hour or so - then also ParaVIEW, openMPI etc. with success! This forum is quite neat I would say you get quite good replies and rapid too!
