Porblem in running openFOAM Tutorial.

Dear all,

I am a new user of openFoam and I started to learn this open CFD tool box since last months. I have successfully run some incompressible flow related tutorials like cavity and cavityfine case. Now I have tried to run cavityHighRe case by following instructions given in user manual. I have made necessary change in ControlDict file and decrease kinematic viscosity to increase Re.

Then I ran paraFoam to make contour, streamline plots.....etc.

but contour of P shows 0 values like attached image. What's the problem? May be it is a very silly mistake but as I am a new user plz help to find out the faults.
Thanks

In your screenshot above you visualize the intial state only. Did you try to load the later steps (green buttons on the upper toolbar)?! You then might also want to rescale to the data range (third button in the second toolbar row).

Hi,

no problem, we've all had our problems when starting with OF and Paraview.

Please keep the discussion to the forums. There's also no need to delete stuff - other beginners might also profit from previous questions.

Paraview provides a huge amount of filters and settings. Try to apply and combine different filters to get a grasp of how thinks work. This might take some hours. For your particular case you could first apply a cut plane (fourth button of last toolbar row) and then create the glyphs for the vector field on this plane (select plane in the tree on the left, apply glyph filter). Good luck!
