Time Vs alpha1 plot

Hello every one. I hope someone can help. I have modelled a case where water flows from a pipe, the water is already in the pipe. in real life, it takes about 25 seconds for the water to leave the pipe completely, in Paraview it take 120 seconds. Is the any way that I could see a graph alpha1 vs time?.

I have modified damBreak case.

Thanks for your help in advance.

In the log file, you will find lines like these:
Quote:

MULES: Solving for alpha1 Liquid phase volume fraction = 0.5 Min(alpha1) = 0 Max(alpha1) = 1
Liquid phase volume fraction indicates the integrated value of alpha1 over the full domain, so you can easily extract that information from the logfile.

Hello BernHard,

Thank you so much for your reply. I am very new on OpenFOAM, can you please tell me how do I find the logfile please?

Best regads,

How do you run interFoam? Where do you write the output of interFoam? This is what you need. Otherwise, use foamCalcEx together with volIntegrate (google will guide you to the right links).

Hi there again,

I really appreciate your help, it means a lot. I could find the log file, however the time I have is no way near the actual time, to be honest I dont understand it, I would be grateful if you could have a look at my logfile and explain a little bit of it for me please.

Best regards,

Salam
