Code Documentation?

Dear Foamers,

I have a case in my PHD that comprises multiphase, heat transfer, phase change and many other new terms added to the continuum equations! I’m in desperate need of a complete documentation of openfoam's code. I want to learn how openfoam implement Navier Stokes equations, energy equation, phase equations in it's code. Also how openfoam represent variables (scalar fields, vector fields and tensors). I'm a good user of openfoam but, I almost know nothing about the code and it's structure! I'm starting from scratch to learn how this code works. Can any one provide me with an extensive book(s), pamphlet(s) or any kid of help, please? Also, How much time is it takes to be able to learn and implement all these stuff.

kind regards

you can start with programmer guide, then try to follow online documentation to how add new terms to OpenFOAM, also OpenFOAM wiki is great help to describe different parts of OpenFOAM code, but there is no exclusive documentation for it and you should learn step by step. it would takes around 3 to 6 months
