HI guys,
I have a simple 3D couette channel flow. The dimensions in x,y are from 0 to 100 and in z to 10 (z=height) 1) I calculated a steady solution of couette flow in this channel (top plate is moving, ground plate not!) 2) Now I want to introduce at position x=60 a burgers vortex over the whole spanwise (2D Vortex) y-direction. The velocity distribution from z=0 to 10 should be a gauss curve with given maximal velocites in u_x-direction=-0.26m/s and u_z-direction=+-0.3 m/s How can I superpose this vortex in the flowfield? Ideas 1)Map the steady solution to new icoFoam simulation 2)Superpose with funkySetFields the velocity distribution at x=60. Is this possible? 3)Create some internalPatch (Baffle?) and define velocity distribution onto this patch. Do I need interfaces here? Some advices would be great. |
