Hello all,
I'm working on a projetct involving pressure instabilities in a solid rocket booster. One of the stages involves the resolution of the interior flow field at several instances of the flight. I tried to do this with rhopSonicFoam but without succes and I'm wondering what I do wrong. The calculation domain is a closed cilinder with a nozzle. Part of the wall is defined as a patch, the outflow is extrapolated and the burning surface is defined as inletoutlet with a constant U defined normal to the surface. The calculation starts off OK but becomes unstable quickly. Would changing solvers change anything ? Thanks, Jouke |

Hello,
I am PhD student at the University of Defence in Brno, Czech Rep. I am working on the simulations of processes in the rocket engine with solid propellant. I'd like you exchanging experiences and advices. Best Regards Radek |
