Hello!

I want to use the probes-function in order to record the pressure p at some specific points. In that case, all monitoring points have to rotate with the wall (which is part of a rotating cellZone), so that the relativ position is always the same!

Is there any possibility in this mentioned function to perform that?

Best Regards,
Markus

Hi,

I'm neither using extend, nor rotating systems yet. I want to share an idea though:

Maybe you could use the #codeStream directive (http://www.openfoam.org/version2.0.0...me-control.php) to compute the correct position of the probes at run time.

Good luck!

Unfortunately #codeStream is not supported in foam-extend yet.

You can do it in paraview itself. There is plot over selection time in filter. Before applying plot over selection time, you need to create point or cell selection in paraview. I hope it helps.
