Hello everyone, i would like to model a case of gasification and i would like your opinion on which way to go.

The process to model is the following:

We have a plug flow (D=15cm,L=2m) where the entrance is heated up to 2000K via a
premixed H2/O2 flame and the walls are electrically heated up to 1750K. We introduce
a droplet (1mm) through the centre of the reactor's inlet. This droplet is composed of
both solid and liquid components (tars and chars). The liquid in this droplet, while
entering the reactor, will quickly evaporate releasing the solid particles, and these
solids particles will further decompose themselves until they reach a gaseous state.

So i was thinking about using a Lagrangian approach for the droplet and Euler for the
gaseous flow. Do you have an idea of which solver to use? I was thinking to take the
dieselFoam solver as a basis. And what would be the best way to simulate the solids
particles? The maximal size would be around 100 micrometers, then each particle
reacts to lead to two smaller particles which in turn will react to smaller particles and
so on.
