I wonder if anyone here is familiar with LBNL's Chombo (http://seesar.lbl.gov/ANAG/chombo/) and can offer a brief comparison. The potential application is an estuary model, so have particular interest in geo-referencing (interfaces to ESRI GIS products) and adaptive mesh refinement.
