Gentlemen,

I try to compile openfoam 1.4.1 on CentOS 4.2
using gcc 4.2.2

When I run Allwmake I get an error regarding the
number of the file descriptor, I had modified the
limit i.e. /etc/security/limits.conf and
/etc/sysctl.conf and rasie to 128K

With lsof I see that the FIleOpen alwasy rise and using lsof and grepping Java I found that most of them is regarding the Java part, I suppose the GUI

Can you tell me the right amount of file descriptor, and if I have also to apply this cange to the user workstation ?
