Hi,

I have an application where I need to embed elastic conduits in a structures whose boundaries are moving. Imagine a tube in foam, where the foam boundaries move and pull the tube along with it. If the geometry/topology of the embedded structures is complicated enough, it makes sense to come up with a way to exchange boundary conditions between the embedded structure and the embedding structure without requiring coincident nodes, and thus have one mesh literally immersed in another. Well, I would like to do this in OF, where I simply impart strain/displacement information to the embedded mesh, in such a way that when the foam boundaries expand, the tube expands also.

So my question is, has anyone thought or done anything like this (not likely). And, could someone please give me some indication where a good place to start is? Some of the moving mesh utilities?
