Hello,

it seems to me there is quite a wide interest among OpenFOAM users in multiphase flows, both from the academic and the industrial world, which leads me to think it might be a good idea to have a specific subsection in the forum where to collect threads related to this topic.

I talked about this with Holger Marschall, who informed me he founded with a local special interest group, with the following structure (thanks Holger!):

- free-surface modelling
- two-fluid and multi-fluid modelling
- particle based methods
- cross sectoral and interdisciplinary topics (turbulence, reactions, phase change, hybrid methods)

What do you think about this idea? Please vote above. I think that if there is enough interest, we can ask Mattijs and Henry if they can add the sub-threads.

In the meanwhile, I created a discussion group on the topic called "OpenFOAM for multiphase flows" ( http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/gro...ase+flows.html ). Everyone interested is welcome!
