pre-Newbie question
I don't have much funding for software but I have some respectable computational power (a couple of 32-processor SMP TYAN systems) under OpenSuSE linux, and have read good things about OpenFOAM. I have been doing laminar combustion with CHAM's code, but need to look at supersonic shear layer combustion. How good is OF at reproducing shocks and, more importantly, handling finite-rate kinetic combustion? I see it has ISAT, which would be useful for complex fuels, I believe. Also, how steep is the learning curve, and what about Input/Output processing?
Thanks in advance for any answers!!! PattiMichelle:) |
