Grid for RSTM Calculations

Hello together

I'm running some calculations with OFs Launder-Gibson-RSTM and turbFoam solver.

Evaluating the results shows huge differnces to the expected values. I used a grid with y+~35 for the first cell due to the usage of wall functions.

I tried a lot to gain better results out of my simulation. One thing was to use a 'normal' Grid instead of the 'wall function adjusted bigger 1. cell' ones. And the results became better...

I'm a little bit confused now. Is my combination (LG-RSTM & turbFoam) a Low Reynolds Number configuration? Is it in OF not necessary to adjust the first cell size to be out of the viscous sublayer while using wall function?

I would be really grateful about every input which helps me out of my confuion.

Thanks pretty much & cheers,
Sven
