Hi,

I am performing a two phase simulation with rasCavitatingFoam for a 'pie' shaped section of a cylinder. I have a few questions reagarding the fluctuating behaviour of the pressure field at the inlet.
  • Why do you think the pressure field is still fluctuating although the residuals look small enough?
  • Can this be overcome by using a non-reflective boundary condition at inlet? If so is it possible to implement the same with openfoam.
Suggestions are welcome.

ThanX!!!

Varun

p.s: The courant number used for the computuation is 0.2 and i have employed a k-omega+SST turbulence model.

Hello,

Did you find any answer about a non-reflective boundary condition? Because I would be interested as well.

Regards,

Bertrand
