You are new to the linux environment, and (CFD/OpenFOAM), so what exactly you plan to do?
1- Compiling OpenFOAM on your fedora
My recommendation to you is to keep that plan in the freezer until you acquire experience
2- Installing OpenFOAM from the binaries, that you can do
The binary files come with every prerequisite in the third part file,
just log on openfoam.org, read and follow the instructions given there.
Good luck
