Hi foamers ;

I have a U data and i want to put it in the inlet of my domain as a boundary condition ,, I'm sure that openFoam can do this thing , i didn't find any thing in user guide about that except the type calculated as a patch type
i know the number of faces on theinlet patch and the start face number as in boundary file in polymish directory but, i don't know in what is the order of the faces of my inlet patch beginning from the start face to the last face

any one can help ?

thanks

There is a boundary condition called timeVaryingMappedFixedValue which can make use of (even transient) data from files.

Have a look at the pitzDaily tutorial case.
The boundary condition is used there.
