Hey everyone,

Recently downloaded openFoam for windows, because I needed a CFD to trial some cars I designed in a wind tunnel like scenario, and I can't afford a windtunnel.

I understand there is a very steep learning curve with openFoam, and you really need to be qualified in a fluid dynamics related background to make absolute sense of this program. My background is product design so the learning has been that much slower, however I am gaining an understanding the physics behind it.

What I really need is a any detailed step by step guide/tutorial (e.g. click here) to get around the programs interface, particularly the windows version (online manual referrers to the Linux version which greatly complicates things). Does anyone know of any?

Alternatively if there is a detailed tutorial or file for a automotive wind tunnel scenario, where I can just import a .stl of my design that would be better

Documentation is a sticky issue even with the linux version of OpenFOAM.
But feel free to share your knowledge once you have gained some wisdom ... ;-)

Googled "openFoam for dummies". Got these .pdf's. They go through the same initial tutorials (open cavity) but they elaborate more on what you need to do than other manuals/tutorials I have seen. It is still from a Linux perspective which doesn't help me as much, but it might be helpful to you.
