Coupling equations by mapping between 2 different meshes

Hi, I'm looking for tips on how to map the boundary of a 2D mesh to the source term of an equation on a 1D mesh during the solution.

In my model I have two coupled equations solving for c1 and c2:

laplacian(D2,c2) = 0 -> this is on a 2D submesh
laplacian(D1,c1) = c2_boundary -> this is on a 1D mesh

The source term for c1 is c2_boundary and is the value of the top boundary on the 2D mesh. Both of these meshes have the same width so it's just a 1-to-1 map between the 2D boundary and the 1D source term...how can I do this mapping?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
