k-epsilon set up

Hello everybody !
I'm new in CFD's world and I'm having my firsts steps on OpenFOAM.
I'm trying simple simulation of turbulent flow and I'd like to know if there is a "type" for K and epsilon allowing to set boundary conditions with the values of turbulent intensity and turbulent length scale or turbulent viscosity ratio.
Thank you very much for your answers and excuse me for this bad english.

Hi,
SInce u said you are new in OF i assume you dont know how to setup K E model in Foam. I usually give k and epsilon calculated based on intensity and viscosity ratios for inlet. This iam sure about it.

However in 1.6 there seems to have nut (turb viscosity) may be you can specify nut based on viscosity ratio and k seperately for intensity. Epsilon may be calculated at inlet. This you can try and see if it accepts

Regards

Hello Marin e

Check this thread out (http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...lon-model.html) an also give a look at the rhoPorousSimpleFoam/angledDuctImplicit/0 tutorial
