# About mixingPlane GGI in OpenFoam-1.5-dev

 April 8, 2010, 05:21 About mixingPlane GGI in OpenFoam-1.5-dev #1 New Member   Zheng.Zhi Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: Beijing China Posts: 9 Rep Power: 6 Hello everybody, I am interesting of "rotorStatorInterfaces" in "trunk/Breeder_1.5/OSIG/TurboMachinery" and I download source code from http://openfoam-extend.svn.sourcefor...urboMachinery/ When I try to use mixingPlane GGI (which is developed by Mr.Franz Blaim.)in my case, I meet an Error : Starting time loop Time = 1e-05 Courant Number mean: 0 max: 0.0217673 velocity magnitude: 0.4 PBiCG: Solving for Ux, Initial residual = 0, Final residual = 0, No Iterations 0 PBiCG: Solving for Uy, Initial residual = 0, Final residual = 0, No Iterations 0 PBiCG: Solving for Uz, Initial residual = 1, Final residual = 5.41447e-10, No Iterations 1 Segmentation fault Sometimes the calculate can go on , but still have Error: Starting time loop Time = 1e-05 Courant Number mean: 0 max: 0.00195361 velocity magnitude: 0.4 PBiCG: Solving for Ux, Initial residual = 0, Final residual = 0, No Iterations 0 PBiCG: Solving for Uy, Initial residual = 0, Final residual = 0, No Iterations 0 PBiCG: Solving for Uz, Initial residual = 1, Final residual = 4.11818e-10, No Iterations 1 Center(0 0 0) Direction (0 1 0) Axis (0 0 1) 0.801864 MinCB before gB0() MinCB Size 42 ( 1 2 . . . 40 41 42 ) Not axial Evaluation of GGI weighting factors: From function void GGIInterpolation::rescaleWeightingFactors() const in file lnInclude/GGIInterpolationWeights.C at line 534 Uncovered faces found. On master: 40 on slave: 0 Largest slave weighting factor correction : 0.120226 average: 0.00111096 Largest master weighting factor correction: 0.999716 average: 0.00828556 Can anybody give me suggestion with it ? And is there any new version mixingPlane GGI for the OpenFOAM-1.6-dev ? Thanks!

Hello Zheng,

I am also interested in using the mixingPlaneGGI for my impeller/diffuser stage case.

Following on the problem you had in the first post - did you manage to solve your problem in the end?

Also, please excuse me for throwing in a different topic but how did you manage to compile the mixingPlaneGGI?

I have followed all the steps included in the instructions given (including the GGIInterpolation folder etc.). Howerver, I get the following error message while trying to compile (- using "wmake libso"):

 make: *** No rule to make target `interpolations/GGIInterpolation/GGIInterpolationName.C', needed by `interpolations/GGIInterpolation/GGIInterpolationName.dep'. Stop.
Could you kindly shed some light on the error?

Also, do you use OF-1.5-dev? The reason I ask this is because in the "CompilingHowTO.txt" it refers to the 1.4 version.
