Paraview and Postscript (eps, ps ,pdf)

Hi all,

I would like to create eps or ps images from my OF case. How can I do this with Paraview? There is no option for postscript in "save screenshoot". It is possible to save the image as pdf but that is no real postscript and the poor quality of the image still remains.
Actually, I am missing a "print" option in the file menu. I thought there was such an entry in previous PV versions.
Furthermore, in some postings the vtkGL2PSExporter is mentioned but I don't now how to use it. I was not able to call the exporter from the PV GUI python shell. (The option is enabled in cmake config file). Please, can anybody provide a little example script for the postscript export or does anybody know how to use the export function?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

best regards

Matthias

Hi Matthias,
Indeed, it's the second most wanted feature of ParaView :)

mayavi2

Another option: mayavi2 has the gl2ps writer.

I was (and those who voted for this feature request should have) notified from UserVoice that the feature request was turned down stating that the gl2ps module was not up to their requirement to work on this. So sad. :(

REALLY? How did you do that? Export to VTK and then using mayavi?
