I used the Klein/Lund's digital filtering method to generate the inflow data for my LES. The results look good at first, compared to my PIV data. Then I notice that the fluctuation, in the cross stream direction, at the inlet decays very fast after the inlet, specially on the wall. U. Piomellia 2000, mentioned using forcing technique at several control planes downstream can improve the Synthetic method. I am wondering if someone that has already successfully implemented that already and can share some thoughts with me.
