Problem compiling OpenFoamTurbo

Hello,
I'm having a horrible time trying to compliling OpenFoamTurbo. I have followed the directions on http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Si..._OpenFoamTurbo to no avail. It first complained about the parts of the Make files that had lines that had been tried to be commented out that it was trying to read. I deleted all those lines (they had to do with rotating pressure, split velocity, and temperature) to get the basic rotating reference frame module, and it still won't compile. Now it says

finiteVolume/cfdTools/general/SRFZones/SRFZone.C: In member function ‘void Foam::SRFZone::addCoriolis(Foam::fvVectorMatrix&) const’:
finiteVolume/cfdTools/general/SRFZones/SRFZone.C:97: error: request for member ‘db’ is ambiguous
/home/tmiller/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.7.0/src/OpenFOAM/lnInclude/IOobject.H:235: error: candidates are: const Foam::objectRegistry& Foam::IOobject::db() const

I thought it might be having trouble finding all the #include files. Could that be the issue?

Hi Troy,

It seems like you are using OpenFOAM-1.7.0. Is that so?

In the instructions of OpenFOAM Turbo, you can see that versions 1.4.1 and 1.5 are mentioned. I'm quite sure that some modifications are necessary for it to work with 1.7.0.

Yes, I'm attempting to use OpenFOAM-1.7.0. Thank you for your insight about using the Turbo 1.5 level. I'm giving up for now. I need to to do 3D-high speed turbo work with imported geometries, and that seems to be above the level of where OpenFOAM has been developed to this point. If I were more of a CFD and coding guru, I might jump at the challenge, but it is too overwhelming for the amount of time I have to do this.

Hello,

I'm trying to do the same thing, compiling OpenFoamTurbo Library with foam-extend-4.1.
I realized that I can't because the last version of OpenFoamTurbo is only compatible with OpenFoam 2.0 according to http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Si..._OpenFoamTurbo. Then I tried to install and to compile OpenFoam 2.0 on Ubuntu 20.04 following the instructions on https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/I...M-2.0.0/Ubuntu but it dosen't work. I can't install gcc-4.4 and g++-4.4 because they are not available anymore... So, how can I do?.

Is there any plan to include directly OpenFoamTurbo library to the foam-extend?

Thank you for your help
