OF boundary conditions

Hi everyone,

as an OF-beginner I have a couple of difficulties concerning the BC specification. The short BC-description in the User Guide doesn't really bring me forward (because of the lack of either CDF experience or intelligence).

I found a useful thread describing the use of inletOutlet and outletInlet: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/sho...eferrerid=8074
But I would also like to get familiar with the other ones, and especially pressureInletVelocity pressureInletOutletVelocity and fluxCorrectedVelocity. But event if I don't need the rest of BCs, it would be interesting to know what do they do, what are the specifiable values and what one have to pay attention to.

Kind regards,

Greetings Illya,

OF has a lot of well written and very useful code but you have to do some searching and experimenting to find out how things work. For more information on boundary types, try the online Doxygen files at http://www.openfoam.com/docs/cpp/ .
You can click on the directories tab and scroll down to finiteVolume - fields - fvPatchFields and look through the list of boundary patch types, or you can do a search. I recommend scrolling through the list to see all of the available types.

Good luck,

Alan
