Greetings mitch_pisa and welcome to the forum!
Yep, it's been around for a while and already has a long support thread on this forum for it: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...er-ubuntu.html Sadly launching the new version for OpenFOAM 1.7.x as been taking a while now, due to some re-engineering of the script for adding capabilities for easy extension and expansion. Plus a version in Python is also in the forge, but things have been slow... So, for now, if you are going to install OpenFOAM in Ubuntu and you need an easy way to do it, follow the official instructions from OpenCFD for installing OpenFOAM 1.7.1: Ubuntu/Debian Pack Installation Best regards, Bruno
