far field/domain shape

Quick question...

Is it possible to use a spherical farfield/domain in OpenFOAM? If so, what boundary condition should be assigned for each initial boundaryField variable in the p, U, omega, epsilon, etc. files?

Thanks!

Hi,

If you can make a spherical far field then I don't think there should be any problem in using a spherical domain. Also there doesn't seem to be a problem with zeroGradient BC on those curved faces to simulate far-field.
