Hii,

I need to draw plots of the fluctuating velocity components from a DES/LES solution data ran using OpenFoam. While converting the data to Fieldview format using the foamToFieldview9 utility the UPrime2Mean file is not converted.
Can you please let me know a way to solve the issue?

Thanks,
Tarak

I had the same problem.

I fixed it by writing a small utility to convert the tensor into a vector (the diagonal of the tensor). If you are not able to write it yourself please let me know I can upload it tomorrow.

Hii Steve,

Thank you so much for the reply. It would be really nice if you mail me the utility you wrote, with a few comments to use it effectively (if you think it's needed) at tnandi3@gatech.edu.

Thanks,
Tarak

Here it is.

For help on compiling see the user guide.

I usually run it like this:

Code:
tensorToVector -time x
where x is the time folder for which you want it to execute the utility.

Actually, the name of the utility is misleading, since it will create three seperate scalar fields instead of a vector.
