solving only turbulence equations

I am here with a new problem.
It is something like an a-priori analysis of turbulence models using DNS data.
the average values of variables, like velocities and densities are available from DNS data, I need to evaluate the corresponding values of TKE and epsilon for the a-priori evaluation of this model for similar flows. I find myself ending up with two transport equations for k, and epsilon which need to be solved. I was wondering whether OpenFOAM could be used to solve these two equations without solving other equations.
I was trying using rhoSimpleFOAM and other steady turbulent solvers, by commenting out Ueqn.h, peqn.h, and heqn.h files so as these equations are not solved and only equations for k and epsilon are solved.
As usual getting lots of challenges and difficulties.
Could someone just tell me if this is the correct way of doing it or some other way exists for this kind of analysis.
Thanks in advance

Hi,

This looks an interesting problem. If you may post what difficulties you are facing in doing this then I might be able to help.
