hPolynomialThermo and janafThermo in Interfoam

hey all,
can hPolynomialThermo and janafThermo be used with interfoam??
please give me advice about this, as i am very new to the openFoam software...
thank you.
best regards,
Karthik

Hi

Check in the source code of the thermophysical model being used in interFoam if any combination of hpolynomialthermo anf JANAF thermo is available as a valid combination.

hey nakul
thank you very much for the advice, i tried comparing and couldnt figure out anything... other than hpolynomialthermo and janafthermo, any idea how to vary Cp value and density with pressure and temperature, in a 2 phase vof problem?
thanks again
Karthik

I don't know how you intend to calculate Cp and I also can't be of much help as I don't know multiphase flows.

However you can search around or maybe even code yourself - the way you want to calculate cp. Search the forum and you may find some useful threads.

hello Karthik,

where you able to get interFoam work with other thermotype than incompressible newtonian ?

I am looking for a 2 phase, one ideal gaz, the other hPolynomial, but didn"t find any info about such solver.

regards,
olivier
