Hello, I have been attempting to model a wind turbine which will involve a separate rotating region using AMI. However I have been struggling in the meshing process.

I can mesh the blades themselves no problem when the AMI region isn't considered but when I include the AMI .stl files in the SHM dictionary, it just meshes the AMI region (im guessing since the blades are inside in that region all of those cells are neglected after the catellation stage.)

I have been following a tutorial from CFD support which follows the same process (linked below) but they didn't seem to be having the same problem. My SHM dictionary seems to match theirs in terms of all the settings, while the stl files themselves obviously differ.

https://www.cfdsupport.com/openfoam-...t/node276.html

In that tutorial what seems to happen (for the rotating region) is that the blockMesh is created (an outside cube), then surfaceFeatureExtract is run, and then both the blades and the AMI region are defined in the SHM dict. The end result is just a mesh containing the AMI cylinder region and the blades, without the original block Mesh. Have been stuf on this for a while now. If anyone could help me with this that would be much appreciated. Thanks
