Dear colleagues,

I'm trying to simulate a set stator/rotor of a turbine.
I have two separate mesh: a stator mesh with one nozzle and a rotor with two blade (see the image - turbine.jpg). Initially, I used mergeMeshes join the mesh and I put the ggi conditions between stator and rotor mesh. I'm going wrong in this configuration, because my job not run correctly. The case is aborting, and emiting the following message:


Face zone ... name not found. Please check your GGI interface definition.
From function label ggiPolyPatch::zoneIndex() const
in file meshes/polyMesh/polyPatches/constraint/ggi/ggiPolyPatch.C at line 404.
FOAM aborting

I would like if is possible to use OpenFOAM 1.6-ext or 1.5-dev for to do this task with no conform mesh and if there is a similar tutorial for this case.

Which version of OpenFOAM you are using. If u want to use ggi then it is available only on extension version of OpenFOAM.

The facezone is not created in the faceZone directory.So first you have to create the faceZone.For creating the faceZone, you follow the section number 9.5.3 mention here http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Si...vaned_diffuser .
