how to prepare controlDic to use set or surface in simpleFunctionObjects?

the main question is that i like to have sample surfaces along a tube, prependiculare the center line of cylindar, then i like to average the value of a field in these sample surfaces. is it possible with simpleFunctionObjects? how?

Not with simpleFunctionObjects, but with swak4Foam. For sampling this relies on OF-functionality (so you've got to find a way to sample on a cylinder)
