Simulating ABL flow

Hi,

I am simulating ABL flow for an open terrain (zo = 0.03m) in an empty domain with SST k-omega turbulence model using simpleFoam. At the bottom of the domain I am using nutRoughWallFunction for nut, kqRWallFunction for k and omegaWallFunction for omega. My inlet profiles (U, K and omega) are based on ESDU. For U and omega, inlet (at x=0 m) and incident (x=8.26 m) profiles are similar enough. But for k I am getting huge stream-wise gradients compared to FLUENT (using same boundary conditions). Can someone tell me what is the reason for getting large stream-wise gradient for k?

Thanks.
