Membrane information in OpenFOAM

Hey all,

Can anybody help me with the location of files in which the information regarding the membrane behind which the water column is held at rest at t=0 ?

Thanks

What do you mean by 'membrane'? If you refer e.g. to the damBreak tutorial, there is no real membrane or something. The water column at t=0 is just set in the setFields dict as an initial condition.

These are the some of the lines from dam break tutorial " The test setup consists of a column of water at rest located behind a membrane on the left side of a tank. At time , the membrane is removed and the column of water collapses"

The membrane which holds the water column at rest at t=0?

That would be the experimental set up, as Arne says in the damBreak tutorial water is located with setFields (setFieldsDict) which fills the cells located within a box with no more constraints. At time t=0 your water is at rest in the given zone, so you could think that in time 0-dt there was a membrane and now it is there no more, but there is actually nothing there.
