Placing second fluid in OpenFOAM.

Hye,

Considering dam break case, i changed the location of water column and placed it as shown below. I want to place another fluid at the bottom of it, what changes do i need to do?

Thanks
Vivek

Please see the attachment for the position of fluid.

The dam break case is a tutorial for the interFoam solver, which works for two fluids (e.g. water and air). If you want another, third fluid, you will need a different multiphase solver.

Thank you for the reply.

But, instead of air i want to place another fluid which has density little less than water at the bottom of it. How to do that?
I am talking of two fluids water and say oil.

you can have just two fluids and no vacuum! if you want to change properties look at transportproperties at constant folder!

Vivek

look in tutorials/multiphase/multiphaseInterFoam/laminar/damBreak4phase

there is an example how to set up OpenFoam for four phases
I have not tried to make it three, maybe this is possible as well.

Best
Wouter
