krzychu111 is on a distinguished road
Hi,

Background: I want to install makeAxialMesh because I have to make axisymmetric mesh from imported one by fluentMeshToFoam. I can't use extrudeMesh because fluentMeshToFoam creates both wedges as one boundary group.

I'm trying to install makeAxialMesh using official instructions.

Unfortunately there is no matching version with my openfoam version:
(amd64/bionic 4.1+dfsg1-2 uptodate) so I picked up the newest one v2.0.
When I'm running command ./Allwmake I'm getting:
Code:
./Allwmake
+ wmake makeAxialMesh
./Allwmake: 4: ./Allwmake: wmake: not found
Since I installed openfoam through apt-get I'm not able to find openfoam folder installation neither in usr nor in opt folder. So any solution to wmake: not found, found on the Internet, is not matching to my situation.

Please help me

Quick questions:
  1. Which Ubuntu or Debian or Linux Mint version are you using?
  2. The "openfoam" package provided by Debian/Ubuntu/Linux Mint is not the officially supported one by neither OpenFOAM.org nor OpenFOAM.com, which means that the maintainers at Debian did some changes that made things inconsistent with the public documentation for OpenFOAM. This to say that the wmake script is either not installed or is part of a separate package.
  3. All of this to day that you should instead either install from one of the Deb packages provided by openfoam.org or you should build OpenFOAM from source code, in case you really want to build additional code with OpenFOAM.
