blockMeshDict plateHole solidDisplacementFoam

Hi,

I'm currently working in plateHole case in solidDisplacementFoam. I follow the user guide tutorial.

My question is about edges given in blockMeshDict, the first edge given

arc 0 5 (0.469846 0.17101 0)
I know what 0 5, but the interpolation points given are they correct?
I find the interpolation points like (0.4267765 0.1767765 0). It is too close to it. How get the interpolation points given in tutorial?

Hi, Mainouna

I'm following the user guide tutorial too. I've made a test with a different interpolation point and my conclusion was that any point suitable for the circumference equation with 0.5m radius will be a good point.
For example, I tested the first edge as given bellow
arc 0 5 (0.489897 0.1 0)

I have another question please regarding the same case (plate hole)

How many nodes this case is applied for? Is it for 4 nodes or for 8 nodes?
and how can I know the number of nodes in each case? are there any file mention of that number?
