Hello all,
I am currently in the process of installing/getting started with OpenFOAM. I run Slackware 12.1 x64, so I've had to go with the compile your own option. I followed the instructions on the openfoam.com website to the letter, and managed to get it to compile. After fighting through a few errors dealing with improper environment variables, I was able to run blockMesh with no problems, as per the first tutorial. However, when I go to view the mesh using paraFoam, it exits, telling me I need to build the reader libraries first. I then follow those instructions for using wmake to compile and install the PV3Readers libraries, and that's when I get this error: CMake error at CMakeLists.txt: 13 (INCLUDE): include could not find load file: @PARAVIEW_USE_FILE@ CMake error at CMakeLists.txt: 43 (QT4_WRAP_CPP): Unknown CMake command "QT4_WRAP_CPP". It then says configure incomplete, and make gives and error because it doesn't know what to do. I have the latest version of cmake and I just upgraded Qt to 4.6.2, which is stated as the version needed for ParaView on the website. I've tried my best to track it down. In the ParaView-3.10.1 folder, there is a file called ParaViewUse.cmake, which I think is the file cmake is trying to find. Has anyone encountered this before? I'd very much like to get this resolved so I can get on to using this great program. Thanks in advance for your advice! |

Greetings Jake and welcome to the forum!
OK, it feels that you didn't follow the whole list of instructions to the letter. First, you can check if ParaView is actually built, by running: Code:
echo $ParaView_DIR ls -l $ParaView_DIR which paraview
For more, you can check here: Related issues to ParaView with OpenFOAM - Fixes and solutions Best regards and good luck! Bruno
