Hi guys,

Sorry, I dont know where should I post this thread.

The thing is I want to translate this user guide into Chinese and publish it, I contacted with openfoam.com, they said I should contact with openfoam foundation. But I wrote two emails to openfoam foundation. they did not reply me yet.

So Im wondering, does anyone know henry's email address? Maybe I can contact with him directly.

Thanks.

A few questions:
  1. Did you use the contact form? Namely this one: http://www.openfoam.org/contact/
  2. How many days ago did you send each email?
If you've asked about this at least over a week ago, then the contact form might be damaged or for some reason the answers never got to you. Either way, you might want to use the bug tracker to report the two situations.

Nonetheless, before you do that, there is also a possibility that no answer was given because the current license is meant to be self-explanatory:
In addition, you can draw your own conclusions from this bug report: http://www.openfoam.org/mantisbt/view.php?id=275

You might want to try and work around this issue, by translating instead the older User Guides that were still distributed under the GFDL. For example, this is what the FreeFOAM project did: http://freefoam.sourceforge.net/doc/...ide/index.html

Beyond this, you might want to look into the Cocoons project: http://www.cocoons-project.org/

Best regards,
Bruno

Hello Bruno!

Yeah, I contacted with this one: http://www.openfoam.org/contact/
The first one I sent was about one month ago. The second email I sent was about several days ago. I still got no response.

About your links I need time to digest it...I have never paid my attention to GFDL...If I got some news I can give a feedback.

Thanks for your links!
Best,

I saw OpenFOAM 2.0.0 is under GFDL. looks like I can create OpenFOAM User Guide 2.0.0 into Chinese edition under GFDL too.

Best,
