just wondering if anyone can help me, why does simpleFoam have a time input if it is a steady state solver, I'm running simulations for an academic paper and Im trying to understand how many iterations i'm running the simulation for
any help would gretaly appreciated Thanks |

simpleFoam is a steady state solver, that is right. Usually the timeStep is set to 1, swo it will work as an iteration counter.

Also, it is much more stable to give it a ddt term, and then advance the solution with a "fake time" until this ddt term reaches zero.
